I agree, it's just like praying, just al ittle more proactive. Who knows why people don't give it a chance. Fear, I guess.

I have to disagree with your attitude. If you do not believe in any deities, then that's up to you. There are others out there who are just as entitled to believe in a deity as witches have to believe in their craft.

What upsets me, as a Witch, is when people come out with this kind of attitude that you're trying to show up non-believers, and this helps no one. In fact, this kind of attitude does more harm than good. It shows them that witches have a poor attitude and don't deserve respect.

Don't bother with peoople who don't believe. You can't convince some people there's a fire when their hair's alfame. Focus more on your own beliefs, and let those who don't believe, believe what they want.

I for one could care less whether someone believes in my craft or not.

We have a choice. The creator God gave you a choice and no choice is a choice against him. I believe in witchcraft and demon worship but I do not pratice it. It is very dangerous and yes powerful.

The difference in what you believe and Christian beliefs is that you are indeed praying to demonic forces. They are happy to reinforce your belief so that you can join them eternally. They give you your selfish request as payment for your soul. Demons **** God and they **** you because you are made in his image. They only know how to **** and that is why they can't be redeemed. They love torture for humans and seek to do it forever. They have the power over you to take your soul at death. I hope it is worth it.

Christian beliefs give God the power to manage our lives in the way that he sees best for us. We give him total power over us and trust him that he wants what is good for us. He is our father and we are his children and he loves us. Our God made everything including the puny demons that you worship. He is greater than all because he created all things. The whole world belongs to him and he will give it to whom ever he will. Christians seek to honor him because he loves us enough to give his son to die on the cross for us. Jesus is coming again to the earth in power and great glory to claim everything as his own. It will be his kingdom and his power that will dominate the earth at that time and forever.

Hello again, I just want to say good on you for sticking up for yourself, other religions especially Christianity and Catholicism really need a good kick to get them to pull their heads in. The funniest thing is that their prayers are actually are just another version of magic, the thing they **** most, because all they are doing is channeling their energy to reach a desired outcome e.g. when a person needs healing the Christians pray that the person is healed, focusing their energy on what they want to happen and sending it out to them and then presto the person is healed which is magic through and through, plus Christians tend to pray in large number, asking the community for help, enhancing their collective power. Thus in effect when they abuse us for using magic they are being hypocritical and they don't even have a clue, but it doesn't matter we are growing in number at a rapid rate so they won't be the most powerful religion in the world for much longer.

I think that people have expectations of magic that simply don't exist in reality. They see movies like the craft or Harry Potter, and think that anyone who can't walk on water or throw lightning bolts can't possibly perform magic. It seems that many people are very closed minded when it comes to things they don't understand or refuse to understand. I am a follower of an earth based tradition, and magic is part of daily life. Each tradition has its own beliefs. Even though we think the theists are crazy with their beliefs, it is best to humor them, least they start burning witches again :)

No, I don't.

It's just fake. And I think praying is fake, too.

It's just wishful thinking........ whatever you enjoy doing to pass the time, but it doesn't change reality.

But to each his own.

I see where your coming from, but I can clearly feel and see the negative energies from parts of this post. It's always good to clear the mind every now and then, and then you can perceive things that the negative energies clouded before. Things aren't always how we'd like them to be, but others do have their own opinions.

Glad to know there are others out there that realize the truth and facts on things though. ^)^

I am not sure what you are asking, here. This sounds like you are answering your own question.

Yes. Magic is used in some religious rituals. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's more effective than Christian rituals.

The problem is, you can't compare religions. Faith serves different purposes to different people. If people want to believe spells are fake, that's their business. You can believe Jesus is fake. Who cares except the person who has the faith? That's what faith is. Being devoted even when other people don't understand why.

Christians often mistreat pagans and judge them without even knowing them, and sometimes pagans do the same without even realizing it.

Real faith cannot exist without love, devotion, and compassion. That's true in pagan practice as well as Christian.

Faith without these is just reciting the text of some book you learned in school.

I'm Wiccan, and you need to respect other religions, as if it were your own, just because someone doesn't get it, don't make fun, educate them. Witchcraft has nothing to do with Wicca by the way, they're completely different, but can come hand in hand. You're right about a spell, or ritual, it's the same concept as a prayer, I like how you stated your evidence part. But, try to respect their religion, and maybe they will respect your beliefs in witch craft.
